The Glorious Day of the Lord Jesus Christ
2 Corinthians 1:21-22New International Version (NIV)
21 Now it is God who makes both us and you stand firm in Christ. He anointed us, 22 set his seal of ownership on us, and put his Spirit in our hearts as a deposit, guaranteeing what is to come.
Brethren in Christ, we have hope in the Lord on the last day because of His Holy Spirit living in us and it is the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead (Rom 8:11). Therefore, on that great day, the dead in Christ shall rise first and meet the Lord as He descend from heaven with a loud command, with the voice of the archangel and with the trumpet call of God. After that, we who are still alive and are left will then be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air and be with Him forever (1Thess 4:16-17).
We should also trust that God is faithful and will keep us firm to the end so that we will be blameless on the day of our Lord Jesus Christ (1 Cor 1:8).
Beloved, it is the Lord's heart desire that all will be saved including unbelievers (non-magnetic substances) who will be left out and perish on that day due to their lack of magnetic field (Holy Spirit). We as christians have a great task to carry out to win lost souls into the Kingdom of God by the power and direction of the Holy Spirit.
Dear reader! I, as well as you, do not know how God is going to make all these possible but one thing I trust is that 'Christ in us, the hope of glory' (Col 1:27).
