The Truth about Holy Ghost Baptism.

Image
Baptism In The Holy Spirit!!! Baptism in the Holy Spirit - What Is It? We should be careful to not confuse baptism in the Holy Spirit with the various other ministries of the Holy Spirit. The filling of the Holy Spirit is how He empowers and controls us ( Acts 4:31 ; Ephesians 5:18 ). The indwelling of the Holy Spirit is God the Holy Spirit taking up permanent residence in our lives ( John 14:17 ; Romans 8:9-11 ;  1 Corinthians 3:16 ;  6:19 ;  1 John 4:4 ). The sealing of the Holy Spirit is God marking us as His permanent possession ( Ephesians 1:13-14 ). Baptism in the Holy Spirit is related to these other ministries of the Holy Spirit, but at the same time, it is separate from them. Baptism in the Holy Spirit - What Are the Results? In the book of Acts, baptism in the Holy Spirit sometimes resulted in speaking in tongues ( Acts 2:4 ;  10:44-46 ;  Acts 19:6 ). However, in other instances, people believed and therefore received baptism in the Holy Spirit, but nothing is sai

See 'Blessings' from God's point of view and not from yours.

Submit yourself to God's Perfect Will and see Blessings from His point of view and Not from yours. You may visualise Blessings from a materialistic view point but God sees it differently. According to Jeremiah 29:11, God knows the plans He has for us. Plans to prosper us and not to harm us. The Almighty also declared in Isaiah 55:8 that His thoughts are not our thoughts neither His ways our ways. He is the God of Perfection. He is the Sovereign God. He is the Alpha and Omega ( the beginning and the end). He formed you in your mother's womb and even before He formed you, He knew you (Jeremiah 1:5). As mere humans, we tend to see worldly riches and fame as the ultimate blessings. We are always ambitious for 'material things' on earth forgetting what the Lord Jesus warned in Matthew 6:19-22.  Our selfish future plans mostly end us up in disappointments, regrets and destruction. We sometimes pray to God to grant us our heart desires in accordant with our own will.

The devil and his agents can only attack us (Christians) but can never destroy us

Image
As christians, the devil and his agents will never cease attacking and wrestling with our souls until the last day but we count it all joy because of our Victory in CHRIST. 1 THESS. 5:23 makes it very clear that man is a tripartite being (spirit, soul and body). Man was created from dust and God breathed into his nostrils and was made a living soul (Gen. 2:7) .  In our journey in this life as christians, we will continue to war against satan, his agents and the world till the last day ( Christ's second coming or when one is called to glory). Before the first coming of Jesus Christ, man was under the bondage of satan until Christ defeated him through His death and resurrection power. Now, by grace through faith, anyone who believes in Christ Jesus as Lord is saved and is given the free gift of eternal life. Man is then made a new creation (being brought from darkness to lightness) and his spirit is quickened forever by the Holy Spirit.  The devil can never touch or even

Waking up from a bad dream

Image
How many times have you awakened only to wonder why you had such bad dream? “Did I entertain some evil thoughts?  Did I expose myself to some unholy things?  Do I still have traces of my past in me?  Is this just an attack of the devil or is God trying to expose something to me?” These are some of the many questions that I personally ask myself when I wake up from a bad dream.  And I know for sure that all these questions may be reasons for a bad dream. So how do I know if a dream is from God or not from God?  I believe that nothing happens to us without God’s permission.  He may be allowing those bad dreams for the following reasons: To test how far we will stand our ground and fight our evil thoughts; To expose something to us that we may not be aware of; To warn us of a future event; To teach us to be more cautious of what goes on in our minds; and To strengthen our faith in Him. Whatever the reasons are, it is good to examine ourselves in the light of the drea

Understanding bad dreams, nightmares (demonic attacks) or prophetic warning dreams and how to triumph over them

Understanding bad dreams, nightmares (demonic attacks) or prophetic warning dreams and how to triumph over them!!! What should you do if you have a bad dream, nightmare, or demonic attack in your sleep—or a series of them? How can you help a member of your family who has one? This seems to be an issue faced by many Christians who are gifted in discernment or prophecy, and who have a heightened awareness of spiritual atmospheres. And not surprisingly—for growing in faith and spiritual authority is a significant part of our journey. If we are gifted in prophetic dreams or discernment, there may be contention for the gift of God on our lives. For many years, I experienced demonic attacks in dreams, and am grateful for the freedom God has given to me. Following are some thoughts on how you can respond when you have had a bad dream, demonic encounter or nightmare in your sleep: 1. Know what the Bible says About Sleep Our standpoint is that we don’t put up with anything les

The Importance of Divine Revelations, Dreams and Visions

Image
The Importance of Divine Revelations, Dreams and Visions!!! Isaiah 48:3. Time and again I warned, cautioned and hinted you about what was going to happen in the future. Then suddenly I took action and all my predictions came true. Dear friend, During periods of intense intercession, especially when coupled with fasting, we often experience series of positive and/or negative revelations. But God reveals to redeem, always! The positive revelations, dreams or visions he shows us that reflect His promise, are redeemed out of the spirit realm into the physical for our benefit. While the negative ones He permits us to experience, He redeems and rescues us from, as we continue to agree with the LORD and His infallible Word in prayer. Therefore, negative spiritual experiences should never make us panic, become fearful or anxious, but should become persistent prayer points that we constantly wrestle down unto victory. Neither should positive spiritual experiences simply make us recli
