See 'Blessings' from God's point of view and not from yours.

Submit yourself to God's Perfect Will and see Blessings from His point of view and Not from yours. You may visualise Blessings from a materialistic view point but God sees it differently.

 According to Jeremiah 29:11, God knows the plans He has for us. Plans to prosper us and not to harm us. The Almighty also declared in Isaiah 55:8 that His thoughts are not our thoughts neither His ways our ways. He is the God of Perfection. He is the Sovereign God. He is the Alpha and Omega ( the beginning and the end). He formed you in your mother's womb and even before He formed you, He knew you (Jeremiah 1:5).
As mere humans, we tend to see worldly riches and fame as the ultimate blessings. We are always ambitious for 'material things' on earth forgetting what the Lord Jesus warned in Matthew 6:19-22. 

 Our selfish future plans mostly end us up in disappointments, regrets and destruction. We sometimes pray to God to grant us our heart desires in accordant with our own will. But God who is rich in His Love and Wisdom, gives us signs and warnings to make us aware of the consequences of such selfish request. Yet, we keep on insisting until He leniently grant us that request (Permissive Will). 
Though God knows exactly what may happen after granting us our  request, His Spirit continues to speak to us in our innermost beings with the aim of making us change our minds and accept His Will. When we still refuse to yield to His plans and authority, we then get disappointed on the way but God through His mercies delivers us and puts us back on track in His Perfect Will by the Power of the Holy Ghost.

We (believers) must always be alert when it comes to these things because not everyone will be fortunate enough to experience the story of the prodigal son.
It is so heart-breaking to know how most Christians are leading their lives according to the Permissive Will of God refusing to listen to the voice of the Holy Spirit to guide them into the right path. They may seem to be enjoying 'blessings' that glorify themselves and Not 'BLESSINGS' that bring Glory and Honour to God.
God's True Blessing is characterised by 'Peace of mind, Contentment and Gratitude' whiles the other kind of 'blessing' brings about 'Psychological battle, Discontentment, self pride and Ingratitude' . 
Every believer who has submitted his all to the Will of God experiences the former.

 It is my prayer that God the Father gives us the grace to live a prosperous and victorious christian life that will bring Glory and Honour to His name in Christ Jesus our Lord by the Power of the Holy Spirit.

  People everywhere search for peace. They sing songs about it and travel on pilgrimages to find it. They even wage war to protect it. Many wealthy, famous, and powerful people would trade everything for just one moment of peace. What they often find, however, is the world’s false peace which is different from the peace offered by Jesus: Peace I leave with you; my peace I give to you. Not as the world gives do I give to you.
