FRUIT, THE FOUNDATION FOR THE GIFTS

Image
Article by an Unknown Writer I’ve been thinking about this the past couple of weeks and I was just listening to a Graham Cooke YouTube which is at the end of this blog and it spurred me onto sharing. I’ll start with one quote from this video he said: People have destroyed with their character what they have built with their gift. Another nugget comes from Wade Taylor’s book, “Secret of the Stairs” as least I think so. I don’t want to misquote or say the wrong book but I believe it’s from his book. When walking with God comes a revelation or riser of a stair then a walking out of it first step before a another riser of revelation comes and then walking that out and so on and so on. So I’ve had this picture of a beautiful house. Decked out on the outside with fancy and exquisite windows, doors, shutters, etc. Looks great from the outside. But when on the inside it’s empty without even drywall or proper supporting beams, trusses, etc. Looks good on the outside but in

God will Guide your Steps

Article by An Unknown Writer This article started with a friend of mine who was really stressing out due to the fact that she cannot seem to find a good job right now.  This was my reply to her. Here is a couple of thoughts for you to consider. As you will see in the Scripture verse I will list below from the prophet Jeremiah – God will now be giving you a  brand new future  and a  brand new hope  for your life. You Are Now Operating On A Different Playing Field! Now that you have received the  Baptism of the Holy Spirit  and have made a complete and  full surrender  of your entire life over to God the Father – He is now in complete and total charge of your life! When you make this full surrender with God, it is now His job to take full and complete care of you in every detail of your life – including finding the next new job that He will want you to move into. There is not an area or detail in your life that God will not be willing to help you out with – n

The Importance of Waiting on God's Timing

Image
Article by an Unknown Writer Without question, one of the hardest things for many Christians to do with the Lord is to wait on His timing to make certain things happen in their lives. In the very fast-paced world in which we all now live in, things are set up for maximum speed and efficiency. Fast food restaurants are a favorite for many people because they like to be able to go through a fast drive-thru and receive their order in just a matter of minutes. Computers are now moving faster than ever before and they are allowing news events to hit the screen just right after the news event has actually occurred. We are so used to everything moving at break-neck speed, that we then have a very hard time in adjusting to the slower ways that God will work things out in our life. One of the things I have found out in my own personal walk with the Lord is that many of the times, He will have a much slower way of working things than I ever thought He would. It is very nice t

A CHRISTIAN NEVER LOSES HIS SALVATION

Image
Once Saved, Always Saved – The Biblical Evidence The Bible teaches “once saved, always saved” -- that we can be saved once and for all only through a repentant, saving faith in Jesus Christ. Once a person has accepted Christ as Savior, they may wonder if it is possible to lose that salvation. What if they commit a sin? What if they commit a lot of sins? What if they do something very, very wrong? Is it possible to be saved, and then lose that salvation? Fortunately, the answer is a resounding “no.” Once a person has accepted Jesus Christ as Savior, he/she is forever saved. This fact is referred to as the doctrine of “eternal security,” often summarized as “once saved, always saved.” There are several reasons why a person can be confident in their “eternal security.” First and foremost is the evidence of Scripture.  John 3:15-18  says about Christ: “The Son of Man must be lifted up, that everyone who believes in him may have eternal life. For God so loved the world that he gave h

THE GIFTS OF WISDOM, KNOWLEDGE, AND PROPHECY!!!

But to each one is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good. For to one is given the word of wisdom through the Spirit, and to another the word of knowledge according to the same Spirit…to another prophecy. 1 Cor. 12:7, 10   Here we see three different gifts or charisma of the Holy Spirit. Root word is charizomai which means give or forgive as well as to do something pleasant or agreeable (to one), to do a favor to, gratify. The other word is charis which is the word grace which means that which affords joy, pleasure, delight, sweetness, charm, loveliness: grace of speech. From what I’ve seen in the body of Christ is confusion or misinterpretation of these three gifts: Knowledge, Wisdom, and Prophecy. I would add interpretation of tongues but I’ve rarely heard corporate tongues and interpretation of tongues in Church. It may be a more Pentecostal thing but not so much so in Charismatic churches. Also discerning of spi
